Description: This 8-hour course promotes a multi-agency approach to the problem of elder abuse for frontline law enforcement professionals. The interactive, problem-solving based training will draw from attendees’ experiences and provides them with strategies to effectively investigate elder abuse.
Instructor(s): WISDOJ Staff, et al.
Topics include: investigative strategies for law enforcement, local & state resources to assist law enforcement and victims, legal overview and remedies in elder abuse cases, communicating with older adults and witnesses, detection and identification of financial exploitation, neglect, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
