Description: This 8-hour instructor update will follow the guidelines established by the LESB. It is designed as a transition for DAAT and POSC instructors to be cross-trained, to administer and to teach the respective skill sets. Successful candidates will have earned the new title of “Defensive Tactics” Instructor and entered in ACADIS, as DAAT and POSC instructor will slowly be phased out.
Pre-requisites: Must be a sworn law enforcement/corrections officer, and be certified as a DAAT or POSC Instructor in good standing.
