FEATURING:
A course for both police and fire personnel responsible for investigating and analyzing fire incidents. It presents the technical knowledge and scientific skills needed to conduct successful fire investigations. Using a combination of classroom instruction, live burns, case studies, and group projects demonstrate various investigative methods for the conduction of a legally defensible fire investigation. This is a tested course that is designed to meet the applicable sections of NFPA921 and NPFA1033. Upon completion, the students will be better able to identify the origin of a fire, the cause of a fire and take the CFEI exam. This course is approved by the International Association of Arson Investigators.
Course# POLICE-407-002
This 40-hour class is the next step to becoming a CFEI or CFI. It follows NFPA921 and NFPA1033. Students will be able to conduct a technically and legally sound investigation in order to pursue the case through the judicial system.
